Petrus ‘Dancing Shoes’ Shitembi is a Namibian international footballer born on 01 August 1992. He is one of Namibia’s latest hottest property. Shitembi currently plays with Sabah FA in Malaysia in Asia. The Rundu Chiefs’ highly-rated attacking midfielder Petrus Shitembi has, over the past years ago, proved that he has the potential of becoming Namibia’s top soccer player. He joined Rundu Chiefs’ junior squad in 2006 when he was 14 years and got promotion to the national team at 15 years. 


Shitembi is the only player that has a protracted record with Brave Warriors and highest Caps ”65” among other players except for Ronald Ketjijere with ’68’. Shitembi he oftentimes featured in the national team since 2012, including the Brave Warriors’ match 3–1 win against SV Herbern during a German football club touring Namibia, where he scored a brace goal. He played a full match during a Brave Warriors lost to Morocco in a friendly game on 12 January 2013, the Rundu Chiefs’ attacking midfielder Shitembi scored two goals before halftime to give Namibia a lead. He was also featured in recent Afcon 2019 in Egypt.


On 24 January 2013, he joined the South African team the University of Pretoria F.C. on a three-year deal before moved to AmZulu where he was put on loan to Ashanti Gold in Ghana.  On 1 February 2019, he joined Zambian giants Lusaka Dynamos Football Club.


ABSA Premiership

Shitembi is an experienced footballer who always representing the country. His move to the lucrative PSL in South Africa is essential to his achievement. In early 2013 Shitembi left his home club Rundu Chiefs to play with University of Pretoria in ABSA Premiership.  In July 2014 he joined the rivalry club AmaZulu FC after parting ways with the University of Pretoria. With KwaZulu-Natal’s outfit Shitembi got an opportunity to team-up together with his countrymen like Willem Mwedihanga, Larry Horaeb, Sadney Urikhob and Pineas Jakob.


Shitembi’s talents impressed the head coach Bashir Hayford of Ashanti Gold SC during a trial session. Shitembi scored his first goal for the club in the 2-1 win over New Edubiase United FC at the Len Clay in the coronation match for the GHALCA Top 4 champions. In September 2014 Shitembi loaned to AshantiGold in Ghana from South African outfit AmaZulu. One year later he reverted back to his parent club and then joined Stellenbosch FC, the period lasted only one year before returning back to Namibia and parting with Tura Magic.


In February 2019 he moved on to Lusaka Dynamos FC in Zambia after signing 6 months contract, which is already expired. The 27-year old undergone with some trials in Germany, recently. Now is with Sabah FA in Malaysia joining on 05 Feb 2020.
