Anssumane Fati (31 October 2002) was born in Bissau, the capital of Guinea Bissau. The striker moved to Seville at the age of six where he began in the youth team set up at Sevilla. In 2012, at the age of 10, he joined the FC Barcelona youth teams before making his debut with the first team in the 2019/20 season.

On 25 August 2019 he became the youngest ever person to play for the Barça first team in the league at the age of 16 years and 298 days. The striker, wearing number 31, came on in the 78th minutes of the game against Betis to replace Carles Pérez in week 2 of the 2019/20 league season.

On 31 August 2019, in a game against Osasuna in El Sadar, Ansu Fati became the youngest player ever to score in the league for Barça. The striker, aged just 16 years and 304 days, scored with a well-placed header from Carles Pérez in the 2-2 draw in Pamplona.
